Our Vision:
A future where individuals have equal access to education, economic opportunities, healthcare and legal rights.
In the heart of Migori County, where communities thrive amidst challenges, lies a profound need for support and upliftment. Femcorner, a grassroots organization driven by a vision of empowerment and solidarity, emerges as a beacon of hope. With a mission to address pressing issues affecting women and children, Femcorner seeks funding for three vital projects. Firstly, the provision of water tanks to schools stands as a cornerstone of their endeavors. In many rural areas, access to clean water remains a distant dream, hindering education and health. By installing water tanks in schools, Femcorner aims to ensure that schools have a sustainable source of clean water, enabling children to learn and thrive in a hygienic environment. Secondly, the plight of widows echoes throughout the county. Many find themselves in dire circumstances, lacking adequate shelter and support. Femcorner endeavors to build houses for widows, offering them a safe haven and a renewed sense of dignity. These homes not only provide shelter but also serve as a symbol of community care and compassion. Lastly, the issue of menstrual hygiene poses a significant challenge for many girls and women in Migori County. The lack of access to sanitary pads often leads to missed school days and trading sex for pads leading health complications. To address this, Femcorner plans to establish a sanitary pads bank, ensuring that girls have access to essential hygiene products, empowering them to pursue their education unhindered by menstruation-related challenges. In supporting Femcorner's initiatives, we not only invest in tangible infrastructure but also sow the seeds of empowerment and transformation. By providing clean water, shelter, and menstrual hygiene resources, we pave the way for a brighter future, where every individual has the opportunity to thrive and contribute to their community's growth and prosperity.
